AccessAble partners with University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is proud to announce a new partnership with AccessAble, the UK’s leading provider of detailed accessibility information.

As part of this partnership, Detailed Access Guides for Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Glenfield Hospital have been created, covering the Trust’s range of facilities, wards and departments. These Guides are now available on the AccessAble website and mobile app, enabling patients and carers to plan their visit with confidence.

The Detailed Access Guides provide detailed facts, figures and photographs to help patients, visitors and staff plan their journeys to and around the Trust facilities, covering everything from parking facilities and assistive listening devices to walking distances and accessible toilets.

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) is a large NHS teaching trust providing integrated patient care. They are a national and regional centre for specialist treatment, a renowned biomedical research facility and the local hospital for communities in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.

The Trust has have an established international reputation for research excellence in cardiovascular, respiratory, diabetes, renal and cancer medicine. Together with University of Leicester, Loughborough University and De Montfort University, they provide world-class training for the future NHS workforce.
