Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- Please note that the boardwalk around the reserve and the bird hide are not suitable for trampers or other mobility scooters.

- There is not a bus stop within approximately 150m of the site.
- The nearest bus stop is approximately 4 miles away in Malham Village.
- The nearest train station is Settle.
- The station is approximately 6 miles away.

Parking (Quarry Car Park)

- This is an open air car park with a loose chippings and gravel surface.

Route to (the Boardwalk)
- Exit the Quarry car park and turn right down the lane.
Continue along the lane to the gate for Malham Estate on the left.
Go through the gate and continue along the lane.
The gate to the boardwalk is on the right. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located on Pothole Lane.
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is not self-closing.
- The gate has a hook lock.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: a boardwalk around a nature reserve.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: loose chippings and wood.

Hikes and Trails (Boardwalk)
- The walk is approximately 1/4 of a mile long.
- The accessible part of the boardwalk is a circular route around the nature reserve.
Go through the entrance gate and take the path on the left.
Continue along the boardwalk to the bridge.
At the bridge turn right and continue along the boardwalk back to the start. - The walk is open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
