Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and magnifying glass.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
- The wheelchair must be pre-booked.
Route to (the Garden)
- Leave visitor reception and continue ahead.
Turn left once you reach the toilet block and continue ahead.
Follow the path round to the left and the garden entrance will be on the right opposite the manor house. - The route to the area is step-free level, is step-free via a slight ramp/slope and is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located opposite the manor house, at the end of the path.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The access points to the area are located There is a second less accessible access point located directly opposite the manor house.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- There are slight slopes throughout the garden.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
