Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (the Clocktower Café)
- From the visitor reception proceed along the footpath towards the clocktower.
Pass through the clocktower archway into the courtyard area.
The café is to the left along the footpath. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Seating Areas
- There is step-free level access to the outdoor seating area.
- The surface of the outdoor seating area includes a hard surface and an uneven hard surface.
- Facilities in this area include: seats with armrests and seats without armrests.
- The surface height of the table is 75cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre within the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There is a single manual door which opens towards you.

Eating and Drinking
- This is a café which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.

- This toilet is located to the left of the café counter.

- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
- The door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 167cm x 227cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 86cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a lever flush on the transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the door, a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and vertical grab rails on both sides of the wash basin.

- The floors which are accessible by stairs are G, 1.

- The steps are not clearly marked with no handrails.
- The highest step is 16cm high.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
Event Space (The Pipers Room)
- There is step-free level access into the activity area.
- The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 90cm.
- Internally the door has a medium colour contrast.
- Flooring in the area is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to carpet.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There are tables and chairs without armrests available in the space.
- The standard height for the underside of dining tables is 72cm.
- The space does not have a hearing assistance system.
