Summary

Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, sunglasses and communication cards.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: off-road/all-terrain mobility scooters. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Parkland)
- From the welcome building turn right part way up the slope through the gate or continue up the hill to the main drive, then turn right and continue to the house.
- The route to the area is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are concrete and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The access points to the area are located near the Tyntesfield site entrance, in the gardens and at the end of the main driveway which goes down towards the café.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland, formal gardens and gardens.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, block paving, gravel, shingle and loose stones.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps without handrails in the main areas .
- The steep slopes are located through the entire area.
The steps are located on the loop back around to the house. - There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.
- Seating is provided every 50 metres.
Hikes and Trails
- The walk is approximately 2.5 kilometres (most accessible route).
- Follow the accessible route through Home Farm and up the hill towards the main driveway.
Then follow the hill down past the House. You will then arrive at a crossroads.
Turn right at the crossroads and then follow the path back up to the House.
You will then rejoin the main driveway which will take you back to the Visitor Reception via Home Farm. - The walk is not open 24 hours.
- The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, block paving and gravel.
- Some of the route contains steep gradients and steps.
- There are alternative routes to avoid these areas.
- The route is clearly signposted.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
