Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- Equipment cannot be borrowed or hired.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (the Walled Garden)
- From the visitor office, head back towards the car park and picnic area, proceed through the gate to the right, followed by a grassed pathway to a second gate.
Continue through the gate and the walled garden is ahead. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and muddy.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
Outdoor Spaces
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The access points to the area are located at the corner of the walled garden and around the garden in the wall.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
- The width of the gap is 109cm.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and gravel.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There slight slopes in the glasshouse and around the garden.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
