Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, activity sheets, soft toy and communication cards.

Route to (the Gardens)
- The path to the pleasure grounds is located opposite visitor reception, slightly to the left.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
Outdoor Spaces (Pleasure Grounds)
- This information is for the access point located opposite visitor reception.
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, gravel and compact earth.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- The slight slopes are located to the rear of the grounds.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
Outdoor Spaces (Rose Garden)
- Access into the area is via a step and a slight ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps).
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- The access points to the area are located along to the left after you enter the pleasure grounds, and at the side of the house.
