Route to (Blackwater Books)

  • After exiting visitor reception turn left and follow the path through the archway.
    Turn left after the archway to enter the courtyard, then follow the building on the right round to its front for Blackwater Books.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel and cobbles.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.

Shop

  • Access into the shop is via a step and a slight ramp/slope.
  • The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
  • There is 1 step, which is unmarked.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the door opening is 92cm.
  • Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
  • The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
  • All flooring in the shop is smooth and even.
