Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (the Estate)

  • From the Blue Badge bays, cross the entrance road towards the house and continue ahead along the path.
    The gate to the woodland walk is at the end of this path.
    The woodland walk can also be accessed from the right side of the main car park.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and bonded gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Hikes and Trails (Hollybush Wood)

  • The walk is approximately 1.5 miles.
  • This circular walk can be started in either the main car park, or the gate to the south of the house.
    Follow the marked path into and through Hollybush Wood, then back towards Standen House.
    The route includes paths that can be muddy, as well as steep slopes, steps, and single-file boardwalks.
  • The hike is not open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: grass and compacted gravel.
  • Some of the route contains steep gradients and steps.
  • There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
  • The route is clearly signposted.
  • The route has online maps.
  • Seating is available on the route.
  • There are no toilet facilities along the route.
