Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (the Adventure Corner and Picnic Area)
- Head to the back of the main car park, opposite the visitor centre.
The entrance to the Adventure Corner is on the right, and the picnic area is ahead. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and muddy.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces (Adventure Corner)
- This information is for the access point located off the main parking area, to the right.
- Access into the area is via slight ramps/slopes.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground with play equipment and a grassed play area.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are not available in all of the outdoor space.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There is uneven ground throughout the play area.

- There is a fenced play area with an entrance over 100cm wide.
- The gate may be difficult to open and does not have a high colour contrast with the fence.
- There is a route around the play equipment which is not firm and even, but is over 150cm wide.
- The play equipment is in easy reach for seated and standing users, and users of different heights.
- The following play experiences are available: swinging, rocking, climbing, balancing, sensory (visual, audible and or tactile).
Picnic Area
- The following information describes the picnic area located off the main car park, by the Adventure Corner.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are picnic tables.
- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are available.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the lowest picnic table is 67cm.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the highest picnic table is 68cm.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to compacted earth and grass.
