Parking
- This site has a shared car park.
- The vehicle route from the main road to the car park includes: uneven surfaces.
- This is an open air car park with a tarmac, gravel and compacted gravel surface.
- Maps and information boards are available.
- There are no Blue Badge parking bays available.
- Obstacles from the car park include: uneven surfaces and a lack of pedestrian walkways to cross the car park.
- There are not parent and child parking bays available.
- There is 1 electric vehicle charging point.
- The dimensions of the electric vehicle charging bay surveyed are 290cm x 490cm.
- There is no electric vehicle charging point designated for Blue Badge holders.
- There is not a designated drop-off point.
- Parking is available for the following;
visitors who have booked the tramper, event guests, people with a fishing permit, and guests staying in the accommodation.
Parking donations can be paid at Reception.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception at the Stackpole Centre. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- A beach wheelchair is also available to borrow.
You must ring visitor reception and book in advance to use the equipment.
Picnic Area (Visitor Reception)
- The following information describes the picnic area located ahead of visitor reception.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There are picnic tables.
- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are not available.
- The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 77cm.
- The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles and grass.
Entrance (Visitor Reception)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The steep ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with handrails on both sides.
- The ramp overcomes the steps.
- There are 3 steps, which are unmarked, with handrails on both sides.
- The handrails cover all steps.
- Some of the steps are not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
- There are double manual doors (with one door locked) which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 73cm.
- There is a second set of manual doors which open both ways.
- The width of the opening is 146cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of less than 1.5cm.

Visitor Reception

Toilet with Adaptations (Stackpole Centre - First Facility - Ambulant - Right Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located to the left after entering the Stackpole Centre.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- This toilet is approximately 7m from the Stackpole Centre entrance.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
- The door has a lever twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 175cm x 170cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat.
- The lateral transfer space is 90cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.

- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 84cm.
- The door has a lever twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 167cm x 166cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat.
- The lateral transfer space is 87cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a spatula flush on the non transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and vertical grab rails on both sides of the wash basin.

- The dimensions of the cubicle are 172cm x 175cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat.

- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, cobbled, grass, compact earth and loose stones.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails and steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- The slight and steep slopes are at various points once you have entered the outdoor space.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.
Hikes and Trails (Stackpole Centre to Stackpole Court)
- The trail is approximately 1 mile long.
- Cross over the road from the car park and follow the path downhill until you reach Eight Arch Bridge.
Take the path on the left. This takes you along the edge of Stackpole Lakes and to Stackpole Court.
This is an out and back route. - The trail is open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, cobbled, gravel and compacted gravel.
- The route is clearly signposted.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
Hikes and Trails (Stackpole Centre to Stackpole Quay)
- The trail is approximately 2.2 miles long.
- Cross over the road from the car park and follow the path downhill until you reach Eight Arch Bridge.
Go straight over the bridge and carry on all the way to Stackpole Quay without turning off.
This is an out and back route. - The trail is open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, cobbled, gravel and compacted gravel.
- Some of the route contains steep gradients and very uneven surfaces.
- These are found in the following areas: on the other side of Eight Arch Bridge.
- There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
- The route is clearly signposted.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
Hikes and Trails (Stackpole Centre to Bosherston Lily Ponds and Broad Haven South)
- The trail is approximately 2.8 miles long.
- Cross over the road from the car park and follow the path downhill until you reach Eight Arch Bridge.
Take a sharp right, following the path along Bosherston Lily Ponds.
Take a left over a bridge and you will reach Broad Haven South Beach.
This is an out and back route. - The trail is open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, cobbled, gravel and compacted gravel.
- The route is clearly signposted.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
