Route to (Estate)

  • Walk towards the top of the car park and left of the visitor centre, ahead will be the entrance gate.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel and grass.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located to the top of the car park.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens both ways.
  • The gate is self-closing.
  • The width of the gap is 125cm.

Hikes and Trails (The Holeslack Accessible Trail)

  • The trail is approximately 1.6 miles.
  • The Holeslack Accessible Trail is a circular path which passes by a local church.
    There are gates and seating at regular intervals along the path and slight slopes at some points.
    Access to Church Fell is accessible with a tramper/mobility scooter, however there is a steep hill.
    Access is to the church and then back the same way to The Holeslack Accessible Trail.
  • The walk is open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: concrete, gravel and compacted gravel.
  • Seating is available on the route.
