Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (The Vegetable garden)

  • Turn left after exiting the Visitor Reception, follow the path down to the left and turn right by the gift shop.
    Turn left and the pathway to the vegetable garden is on the right.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located along the track opposite the Elizabethan Barn on the left.
  • Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
  • The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens towards you (pull).
  • The gate is not self-closing.
  • The gate has a latch lock.
  • The width of the gap is 115cm.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: gardens and farmland.
  • The outdoor facilities also include: a vegetable garden.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark, grass and compact earth.
  • Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.
  • There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails and slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
