Equipment and Resources to Borrow

- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (Granary Restaurant)
- Turn left on exiting the Visitor Reception, follow the path to the right of the oast, turn to the left and the Granary Restaurant is on the left.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There are double manual doors which opens towards you.
- The width of the opening is 142cm.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of less than 1.5cm.
Eating and Drinking
- This is a restaurant which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: written wall menus and menu boards.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).

- The male standard toilet was surveyed.
- There is also a female toilet in the same location.
- The width of the widest cubicle door opening is 62cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There are hand dryers.
Toilet with Adaptations (Right Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located outside the restaurant, along the path opposite the entrance.
- Access into the toilet is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- This toilet is approximately 18m from the Granary Restaurant entrance.
- There is tactile and pictorial signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 77cm.
- The door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 137cm x 192cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
