Route to (Tearoom)
- From the Blue Badge parking, head to the front of the car park and to the left.
Follow the path signed to the Tearoom and Toilets.
The Toilet Block is ahead on the left.
Turn right into the courtyard, and the Tearoom is on the right. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There are double automatic doors which open towards you.
- The doors are activated by a push pad at a suitable height for seated users (between 75cm - 100cm).
- The width of the opening is 137cm.
Eating and Drinking
- This is a tea room which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: written wall menus.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: takeaway cups, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, a portable card machine for payment, large-handled mugs and large-handled cutlery.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.
- There is background noise here which varies, depending on the time of day.
- There is a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested, however it was not working at the time of the survey.
- There is a counter over 85cm high with a tray rail.

- There is not a section of the counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.

- The following furniture is permanently fixed: some of the chairs and some of the tables.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- All of the surface in the picnic area is smooth and even.
Entrance (Toilet Block)
- The entrance surveyed is located to the left on the path to the Tearoom.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 193cm.
Toilet with Adaptations (Toilet Block - Left Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located to the right from the Toilet Block Entrance.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- This toilet is approximately 1m from the Toilet Block Entrance.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 88cm.
- The door has a locking handle.
- Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 229cm x 268cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 136cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a lever flush on the transfer side.

- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 88cm.
- The door has a locking handle.
- Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 242cm x 221cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat but it is obstructed.
