Route to (Writ in Water)

  • Head to the rear of the car park and start along the accessible route.
    Follow the accessible route path all the way to the end.
    The entrance to Writ in Water is ahead.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are bonded gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
  • There is step-free access via slope at the entrance.
  • The slight slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is an opening without doors.
  • The width of the opening is 204cm.

Attraction / Exhibit

  • The majority of walkway widths are over 180cm.
  • There is no (or very little) background noise here.
  • The following may be experienced on the tour: water effects.
  • The exhibits do not have hearing assistance systems.
  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
  • There are some slight and steep sloped areas.
  • There are bench seats available in the area.
  • The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs.
  • Flooring in the area is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to compacted earth and gravel.
