Equipment and Resources to Borrow

  • Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders.

  • Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.

Route to (The Coach House)

  • The Coach House is located to the left as you exit the Visitor Reception.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are cobbles.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building.
  • There is step-free level access at the entrance.
  • There are double manual doors which are permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 165cm.

Attraction / Exhibit

  • There is no (or very little) background noise here.
  • Exhibit information includes the following formats: information board, television/screen, audio description, interactive exhibits at a recommended height for wheelchair users (between 75cm - 120cm) and touchscreens.
  • The exhibits do not have hearing assistance systems.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.
  • There are bench seats and chairs without armrests available in the area.
  • All flooring in the area is smooth and even.
