Route to (the Tea Cabin)
- Follow the path down to the right from the Visitor Reception and then take the second path on the right, remaining aware of the drop on the left.
Continue along this path for approximately 800 metres.
The Tea Cabin is located on the right after the Gardens toilet block.
This route to the Tea Cabin is not accessible to wheelchair users.
Alternatively, you can enter the site via Church Lane.
If you take the slight sloped path on the right off the main driveway, you will find the Tea Cabin on the left. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel, muddy and bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Eating and Drinking
- This is a kiosk which serves hot and cold snacks.
- Access into the area is via a very steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: menu boards.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, large-handled mugs and large-handled cutlery.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- There is a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
- The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
- There is a counter over 85cm high without a tray rail.
- The counter is 111cm high.
- There is not a section of the counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
