Hikes and Trails

  • The trail is approximately 1 mile.
  • Follow the path at the end of the car park that goes into the trees. Pass through the kissing gate to the left and follow the path along the coast.
    When you see two small islands just offshore continue until you have passed the first of these then go through the two kissing gates and follow the path uphill.
    Go through the next kissing gate and follow the track off to the right. Continue to follow the path until it takes a sharp right turn.
    Continue to follow the track and go through the kissing gate. Follow the track until you reach the road then turn left. Follow the road for a third of a mile and then turn left.
    Your starting point at the car park will then be seen on the left.
  • The hike is open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, grass, gravel and mud.
  • Some of the route contains steep gradients and very uneven surfaces.
  • These are found in the following areas: The first two thirds of the trail.
  • There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
  • The route is not clearly signposted.
  • Seating is available on the route.
  • There are no toilet facilities along the route.

  • Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
