Route to (Marine Trail)
- Go to the far end of the car park. The Marine Trail starts at the path to the left of the car park payment machine.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
Hikes and Trails (Marine Trail)
- The trail is approximately 2.5 miles.
- From the car park follow the path then descend down the steps to the road. Turn left then when you reach the bottom of the steps turn left again.
At the end of the beach take the path on the left around the building with the corrugated walls and roof. Keep following the path as it curves round to the left.
Cross the next beach and pass the Ty Coch Inn pub to your left then go up the ramp in the corner of the beach. You are now on a path which in places is narrow, steep, uneven and has steps going both up and down.
Follow the path until you come to the lifeboat station then take the steep uphill track to the left. When you reach the little car park continue to follow the track as it curves left.
Follow the track back over the golf course towards the mainland. When you reach the clubhouse carry on through the golf course car park and continue following the trail. Eventually you will see the National Trust car park on your left. - The hike is open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, gravel and mud.
- Some of the route contains steep gradients, steps and very uneven surfaces.
- These are found in the following areas: at the start of the route as it descends to the beach and also between the end of the beach and the small car park above the lifeboat station.
- There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
- The route is not clearly signposted.
- The route has information boards with large maps and online maps.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are standard toilet facilities along the route.
- There are toilets as you descend from the car park to the beach. There are also beachside toilets at the little hamlet of Portdinllaeth next to the Ty Coch Inn.

- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
