Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (the Granary Café)
- From the Blue Badge parking, follow the path to the site entrance that leads into the Dairy Courtyard.
Cross the Dairy Courtyard, and go through to the Stable Courtyard. The entrance to the café is to the right. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, paving stones and bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Picnic Area (Stable Courtyard)
- The following information describes the picnic area located in front of the café.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There are tables.
- Some chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are not available.
- The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 74cm.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- Some of the surface in the picnic area in the area is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to uneven paving/tiles.
Entrance (Granary Café)
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the café.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
- The width of the opening is 87cm.
Eating and Drinking
- This is a café which serves hot and cold snacks.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: written wall menus.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, takeaway cutlery, a portable card machine for payment, large-handled mugs and large-handled cutlery.
- Lighting levels are moderate to good.

- There is a small lip on the threshold of the entrance with a height of less than 1.5cm.
Toilet with Adaptations (Stable Courtyard Toilets - Accessible - Left Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located in the toilets area to the right of the Granary Café, in the Stable Courtyard.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- This toilet is approximately 5m from the toilet block entrance.
- There is Braille, pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 95cm.
- The door has a lever twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 165cm x 213cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 109cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a spatula flush on the non transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the door, a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and vertical grab rails on both sides of the wash basin.

- The height of the baby change table is 82cm.
- The wash basin tap type is sensor.
- There is no seating available in the room.
- There is a toilet in the parent and baby room.
- Waste bins include: a nappy bin and a general waste bin without lid.
