Route to (the Estate)

  • On exiting visitor reception follow the path ahead and take the third path on the right.
    Access to the estate is ahead.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and bonded gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located on New Line Walk.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and woodland.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: loose chippings, grass, bonded gravel and compact earth.
  • Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor spaces.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
  • There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails, steep ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps without handrails in the main areas.
  • Some surfaced paths in the nearest areas of the estate have slight slopes.

    There are 3 steps up then down leading to the Long Walk.

Hikes and Trails (Bagden Drive and Admiral's Walk)

  • The walk is approximately 0.5 miles long.
  • From the end of New Line Walk, take the path to the left.
    Pass the Theatre Lawn, then take the turning on the left.
    Pass the Kestrel Corner Play Area, then turn left and take Admiral's Walk back towards visitor reception.
  • The hike is not open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: bonded gravel.
  • The route is not clearly signposted.
  • The route has handheld maps and online maps.
  • Seating is available on the route.
  • There are no toilet facilities along the route.
