Route to (Bishop's Gate)

  • Head to the far end of the Lion's Gate Car Park, and go up the sloping path to the right.
    Continue in the same direction through the gate and up the grassed hill.
    Cross the tarmac path, and take the grassed path to the right.
    Pass through the gate and go down the steep slope to Bishop's Gate.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel, muddy and grass.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Entrance (Bishop's Gate Car Park)

  • The entrance surveyed is located off Bishop's Gate Car Park.
  • There is step-free access via slope at the entrance.
  • The steep slope is over 150cm wide.
  • There is a single manual gate which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 85cm.

Outdoor Spaces (Bishop's Gate Garden)

  • This information is for the access point located at the east side of the grounds.
  • Access into the area is via a very steep ramp/slope.
  • The slope is over 150cm wide.
  • There is an easy open gate at the surveyed access point which opens towards you (pull).
  • The gate is not self-closing.
  • The gate has a latch lock.
