Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and communication cards.

Route to (the Temple of the Winds and Natural Play Area)
- Follow the path in car park 1 back towards the entrance and cross the road using the zebra crossing.
Stay on the pavement until you reach a T-junction.
Cross over the road to the path.
When you come to a fork in the path take the path on the left.
Continue until you reach the Temple of the Winds. Turn left off the path and you will find the natural play area. - The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope and is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, tarmac and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Attraction / Exhibit (Temple of the Winds)
- Access into the area is via a very steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- The majority of walkway widths are over 180cm.
- There is no (or very little) background noise here.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- The area has slight slopes at various points once at the top.
- There are bench seats available in the area.
- The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs.
- Flooring in the area is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to grass and gravel.
Outdoor Spaces (Natural Play Area)
- This information is for the access point located off the yellow trail.
- Access into the area is via a very steep ramp/slope.

- The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground with play equipment.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark, grass, gravel and compact earth.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.

- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.

Ramp or Slope and Steps (to the Temple of the Winds Toilet Block)
- The slope is steep and between 75cm and 150cm wide.
- There are 2 steps.
- The steps are not clearly marked with no handrails.
- The slope overcomes the steps.
Toilet with Adaptations (Temple of the Winds - Accessible - Left Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located down the slope from the Temple of the Winds.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 86cm.
- The door has a lever twist lock.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of more than 1.5cm.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 156cm x 260cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the seat but it is obstructed.
