- This area was, at the time of survey, very boggy and undergoing improvement for accessibility reasons.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and magnifying glass.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (Woodland/Meadow)
- The car park has a gate opposite the route to the Hall that leads to the outside space and wooded area.
This area is very uneven and, at the time of survey, very boggy. - The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, loose wood chippings, muddy and grass.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located off the car park.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: woodland and open countryside.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are not available in all of the outdoor spaces.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- The whole area has slopes and is very uneven.
- The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.
