Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (The Wetland Boardwalk)

  • From the car park, cross the wooden bridge directly ahead, go straight on, through the gate and turn right.
    Turn left at the Snuff Mill, carry on straight over the two wooden bridges, turn right by the dragonfly signpost and follow the path to the area.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, tarmac, gravel, muddy, cobbles, paving stones, bonded gravel and wood.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located off the main pathway to the right of the dragonfly signpost.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The width of the gap is 124cm.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and woodland.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: gravel, bonded gravel, compact earth, uncompacted earth and wood.
  • Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
  • There are more than 3 steps with handrails in the main areas .
  • There are steps to the viewing platform.
  • There are not any bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
  • There are chicanes at either end of the boardwalk to prevent cyclists from using this route.

  • The steps are not clearly marked but there are handrails on both sides.
