  • Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.

Entrance (Visitor Reception)

  • The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the building, next to the car park.
  • There is step-free level access at the entrance.
  • There is a single manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 85cm.
  • There is a second manual door which is permanently open.
  • The width of the opening is 94cm.

Visitor Reception

  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.
  • The majority of aisle widths are over 150cm.
  • There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) throughout the area.
  • The flooring is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to carpet and uneven paving/tiles.
  • There is step-free level access to the counter.
  • The height of the counter is 79cm.
  • There is a low level section at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
  • The counter is placed in front of a patterned background.

  • There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the door.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 92cm.
  • The door has a hook lock.
  • Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 195cm x 340cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat but it is obstructed.
  • The lateral transfer space is 134cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.

    • The facility has: a full length mirror, a waste bin with lid, a sanitary bin and a pedal bin.

    • The coat hooks are 95cm and 130cm from the floor.

    • At the time of survey, the venue was awaiting the delivery of a privacy screen.

Parent and Baby Room / Baby Feeding Room

  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the door opening is 83cm.
  • Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
  • The height of the baby change table is 93cm.
  • The wash basin tap type is twist/turn.
  • There is a chair without armrests available in the room.
  • Waste bins include: a nappy bin.

Standard Toilet (Male)

  • Access into the toilet is via a slight ramp/slope.
  • The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the door opening is 82cm.
  • Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
  • The male standard toilet was surveyed.
  • The width of the widest cubicle door opening is 67cm.
  • The wash basin tap type is sensor.
  • Lighting levels are bright.
  • There are hand dryers.
  • There is a lowered wash basin.
    The height of the lowered wash basin is 69cm.

Standard Toilet (Female)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.

  • The female toilet was surveyed.
  • The width of the widest cubicle door opening is 67cm.
