Route to (the House)
- From the visitor reception, go straight ahead towards the house.
Go between the hedges and come to the house.
The accessible entrance is on this side.
To access the main entrance turn right with the house on your left.
Turn left through the open gates and down the ramp into East Court.
Turn left again and go up the steps to the entrance. - The route to the area includes more than 3 steps without a handrail.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth and paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
- Access to the accessible entrance is step-free level until you reach the ramp at the entrance itself.
Entrance (West Accessible Entrance)
- The entrance surveyed is located on the West side of the house.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The very steep portable ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the steps.
- Please contact staff by ringing the bell for assistance for use of the portable ramp.
- There are 3 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.

Tour

Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
