Route to (the Garden)

  • Leave the car park with the visitor reception and Blue Badge parking on your right.
    Turn right down the tarmac path.
    Follow the path to the right and continue down the path lined with trees.
    Go through the entrance to the picnic area.
    The garden entrance will be on the left after the café building.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel and paving stones.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located off of the picnic area, on the left after the café building.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
  • The width of the gap is 104cm.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: block paving and compact earth.
  • Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor spaces.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.

  • There are more than 3 steps without handrails in the main areas.
  • There are steps to access the lower part of the West Garden.
  • There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
