Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Please contact the venue for details of where the wheelchairs and trampers can be borrowed from.
Route to (Crow Wood Play Area)
- From the Car Park, take the concrete path which will lead to the Timber Yard Café. The path carries on with slight slopes towards the entrance of the play area.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, tarmac and gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located at the front of the playground.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is not self-closing.
- The width of the gap is 120cm.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground with play equipment.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, loose chippings, wood bark, bonded gravel and compact earth.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are more than 3 steps without handrails and slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There is a lowered part of the playground which is accessed by a slight slope.
There is raised equipment which is accessed via stairs. - There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.

- There is a route around the play equipment which is firm and even, and is at least 150cm wide.
- The play equipment is in easy reach for seated and standing users, and users of different heights.
