Eating and Drinking (Tea Room)

  • This is a tea room which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
  • There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
  • Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
  • Menu types include: large print menus and menu boards.
  • Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
  • The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, takeaway cutlery, a portable card machine for payment and large-handled mugs.

  • There are 4 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
  • There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: woodland.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, gravel, compact earth and wood.
  • Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no step-free level access around the area.
  • There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps with handrails in the main areas.
  • There are steps and steep slopes all the way down to Devil's Cauldron and back up.
  • There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.

Route to (Orchard)

  • Turn right out of the exit from the Visitor Reception and follow the gravel path down a slight slope, crossing the grass area to your left towards the orchard.

  • Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
  • The slope is over 150cm wide.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
