Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Visitor Reception

Entrance (Tea Room)

Eating and Drinking (Tea Room)
- This is a tea room which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: large print menus and menu boards.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups, easy grip cutlery, takeaway cutlery, a portable card machine for payment and large-handled mugs.

Outdoor Spaces (Devil's Cauldron)
- This information is for the access point located after you exit the Visitor Reception, follow the path towards the Tea Room, but continue to an open gate.
- Access into the area is via steps and a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- There are 4 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which is permanently held open.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: woodland.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac, gravel, compact earth and wood.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are steep ramps/slopes without handrails and more than 3 steps with handrails in the main areas.
- There are steps and steep slopes all the way down to Devil's Cauldron and back up.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
Route to (Orchard)
- Turn right out of the exit from the Visitor Reception and follow the gravel path down a slight slope, crossing the grass area to your left towards the orchard.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel, grass and paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces (Orchard)
- This information is for the access point located to the back of the grass field, which is to the left of the Tea Room.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: orchard.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
