Route to (Llanbedrog Trail)

  • Leave the main entrance of the car park. The trail starts opposite up the road, signposted as Glyn Y Weddw.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are tarmac.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

Hikes and Trails

  • The trail is approximately 3 miles.
  • Leave the main entrance of the car park, cross the road and then go up the road signposted as Glyn Y Weddw.
    Go up the hill and go past the large building and cafe on your right.
    After passing these take the middle path and pass the John Andrews Outdoor Theatre on your right and proceed up the hill through the trees.
    After a while the path ascends steeply via some steps, some of which have handrails on the left. At the top you will come to one set of steps going off to your left and another going off to your right.
    Take the steps to your right and go through the gap in the stone wall. Continue to follow the path until you meet a set of steps coming up from your left and continuing up to your right.
    Go up the steps to your right and continue to follow the path until you break through the trees and reach the Tinman sculpture overlooking Llanbedrog Beach. Continue to follow the path around the headland.
    Eventually you will leave the path and come onto a track and then a tarmacked road. When you get to the road turn right then right again and the entrance to the car park will be ahead.
  • The hike is open 24 hours.
  • None of the paths are lit at night.
  • The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, cobbled, gravel and mud.
  • Some of the route contains steep gradients, steps and very uneven surfaces.
  • These are found in the following areas: all parts of the trail.
  • There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
  • The route is not clearly signposted.
  • The route has online maps.
  • Seating is available on the route.
  • There are no toilet facilities along the route.
  • On some parts of the route the path is extremely uneven with protruding rocks and stones.
