Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders and fidget toys.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: an off-road/all-terrain mobility scooter. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- Visitors should call 01732 462 100 to book the powered mobility vehicle at least 23 hours in advance. The rollator can be borrowed for use in the upper showrooms.
Route to (Brewhouse Cafe)
- From the car park walk toward the building and take the first left turning. The café is on the right.
- The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are bonded gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the cafe.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance.
- There are double automatic doors which open by sliding.
- The width of the opening is 210cm.
Eating and Drinking
- This is a café which serves hot and cold meals and snacks.
- There is a counter where food and drink can be ordered.
- Staff can provide assistance and offer service to tables.
- Menu types include: large print menus and written wall menus.
- Menus are easy to read (large clear font with contrasting colours).
- The following are available here: drinking straws, takeaway cups, two handled cups, a portable card machine for payment, large-handled mugs and large-handled cutlery.
- Lighting levels are varied.

- The following information describes the picnic area located next to the accessible parking spaces.
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are tables, long tables, bench seats and stools.
- Some chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are not available.
- The surface height of the lowest table is 70cm.
- The surface height of the highest table is 77cm.
- The following furniture is permanently fixed: some of the tables.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- Some of the surface in the picnic area in the area is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to loose chippings.
- There is a gate to access the picnic area which opens outwards with a width of 130cm.
