Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: a tramper. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- Canes and walking poles are also available to borrow free of charge.
These can be borrowed from the visitor reception or the house.
The visitor shuttle is stationed outside visitor reception, but can be summoned to the house, car park, chapel or garden by using the call point in the car park or by speaking to a member of staff or volunteer.
Route to (the Play Area)
- Turn immediately right after exiting the visitor reception, through the archway.
Then take the first path to the right and the play area is on the right after a short while. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope and is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, tarmac, muddy and cobbles.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located off the first path to the right after leaving visitor reception through the archway, then off the next path to the right.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is self-closing.
- The gate has a latch lock.
- The width of the gap is 122cm.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark and gravel.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.

- There is a route around the play equipment which is firm and even, and is at least 150cm wide.
- The play equipment is not in easy reach for a range of users.
- The following play experiences are available: sliding, climbing, balancing and viewing.
