The most accessible entrance has steps, a platform lift, a slight ramp/slope, manual doors and a door permanently held open.
This entrance is opposite the Stables Coffee Shop.
There are 2 floors once inside.
Other floors can be accessed via: stairs.
There is step-free access to the majority of the venue once inside.
There is a member of staff available for help and assistance.
The following are also available: seating and a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
At the time of our visit the hearing assistance system was working.
This site is not part of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.

You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders.

Canes and walking poles are also available to borrow free of charge.
These can be borrowed from the visitor reception or the house.
The visitor shuttle is stationed outside visitor reception, but can be summoned to the house, car park, chapel or garden by using the call point in the car park or by speaking to a member of staff or volunteer.

From the visitor reception entrance go straight across the courtyard.

Externally the lift has: buttons with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings and controls at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.

The dimensions of the lift are 79cm x 115cm.
Lighting levels are moderate to good.

The majority of aisle widths are under 150cm.
All flooring in the shop is smooth and even.
There is step-free level access around some of the shop.
Access around the shop is via steps.
There is no (or very little) background noise here.
Lighting levels are bright.
There is step-free level access to the counter.
The height of the counter is 92cm.
There is a low level counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
The counter has a clearly signed hearing assistance system.
The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
Services/facilities available in the shop include: a portable card machine for payment and a member of staff to provide assistance.
