Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, magnifying glass and accessible maps.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: trampers. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Garden)
- From the visitor reception exit, follow the path ahead.
Keep following the path which turns right.
Go through the gate at the rear right of the main building and take the path to the right.
Follow the path to the stableyard.
The entrance to the garden is on the left side of the stableyard, just past the seating area. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope and is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are concrete, cobbles, paving stones, bonded gravel and rubber matting.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located at the rear of the stableyard.
- Access into the area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The width of the gap is 108cm.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and block paving.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
