Route to (Ickworth House)
- Follow the path from the welcome point to the end and turn right. Continue along the path to the fork. Take the left path and continue ahead. Ickworth House will be in front of you.
- The route to the area is step-free level.
- Path surfaces along the route are gravel.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is an accessible shuttle which can take visitors to this area.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs and cycles. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- There are charges to borrow the manual wheelchairs and cycles.
- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: off-road/all-terrain mobility scooters. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Entrance
- The entrance surveyed is located at the front of the rotunda.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance.
- The steep ramp is under 75cm wide, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the steps.
- There are 3 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The handrails do not cover all steps.
- All of the steps are not at the recommended height (between 15cm - 18cm).
- There are double manual doors (with one door locked) which opens away from you.
- The width of the opening is 70cm.
Tour
- The tour is self-guided but volunteers/staff are available to provide additional information.
- The tour takes approximately 1 hour.
- There is step-free access via lift throughout the tour.
- The majority of walkway widths are over 180cm.
- The tour route may vary depending on the season.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- The following may be experienced on the tour: tactile experiences.
- Tour information includes the following formats: audio description and audio guides.
- There are bench seats at regular intervals along the tour.
- Some flooring along the tour route is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to carpet.
- Some of the flooring has a very shiny finish, which could cause issues with glare or look slippery to some people.
- Lighting levels are varied throughout the tour route.
- There are 2 mobile hearing loops available for guided tours.

View
- The lift door opening width is 84cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 119cm x 107cm.
