Parking (Main Car Park)

- This is an open air car park with a compacted gravel surface.
- Parking is free for all users.

- Obstacles from the car park include: slopes/ramps, uneven surfaces, a lack of pedestrian walkways to cross the car park and loose chippings.

Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- All-terrain wheelchairs are also available.
Visitor Reception
- Access into the area is via steps and a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are 2 steps, which are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, permanently held open and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 150cm.
- Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of less than 1.5cm.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is no room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) within the majority of the area.
- All flooring is smooth and even.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 90cm.
- There is not a low level section at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The counter has windows, TVs, glazed screens or mirrors which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- The counter has a clearly signed hearing assistance system.

Picnic Area
- The following information describes the picnic area located The picnic area is located near Visitor Reception and the children’s play area. Is it within an apple orchard.

- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- There are picnic tables.
- Adapted picnic tables are available.
- Access to the picnic area is a paved path and then onto grass that is mown and maintained. The venue has accessible picnic benches that do have sufficient gaps for wheelchairs.
