This entrance is located off the pathway between the main car park and admissions hut.

You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
You can borrow these from visitor reception or the manor. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
All-terrain wheelchairs are also available.

From the main car park take the pedestrian exit.
Continue on the path to the admissions hut.
The entrance to the German Forest Walk is located on the right of the pathway.
The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, gravel and muddy.
The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.

The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.

The end point brings you to the central area of the site where the café is located.

Some of the route contains steep gradients and very uneven surfaces.
These are found in the following areas: throughout the route.
There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
The route is clearly signposted.
The route has information boards without maps.
Seating is available on the route.
There are no toilet facilities along the route.
