Admissions
- At this location the following are free to access for all visitors: the car park.
- At this location the following areas are free to access for National Trust members but payable for everyone else: the house and gardens.

Public Transport
- There is a bus stop within approximately 150m of the site.
- Hinton Ampner Gate bus stop is just outside the gate to the site, however, the driveway gates are approximately 500 metres from the visitor reception.
- The nearest train station is Winchester.
- Winchester Station is approximately 8.7 miles from Hinton Ampner. There is not a bus service from Winchester Station to Hinton Ampner, however, there is a service from Winchester Bus Station.

Parking
- This site has a car park.
- The vehicle route from the main road to the car park includes: uneven surfaces.
- This is an open air car park with a compacted gravel surface.
- Parking is free for all users.
- Maps and information boards are not available.
- There are 6 Blue Badge parking bays.
- The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 360cm x 480cm.
- There is no hatched zone.
- The nearest Blue Badge bay is 52m from the visitor reception.
- Obstacles from the car park include: uneven surfaces, slopes/ramps and a lack of pedestrian walkways to cross the car park.
- There are not parent and child parking bays available.
- There is not a designated drop-off point.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, dark tent and accessible maps.

- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Visitor Reception
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The ramp is between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 71cm.
- Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of more than 1.5cm.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The majority of aisle widths are over 150cm.
- There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) throughout the area.
- All flooring is smooth and even.
- There is step-free level access to the counter.
- The height of the counter is 90cm.
- There is not a low level section at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The counter is placed in front of a patterned background, has windows, TVs and glazed screens or mirrors which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.
- The counter has a clearly signed hearing assistance system.

- There are tables, bench seats and chairs without armrests available in the visitor reception.
