You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders and accessible maps.

From the visitor reception proceed down a slope, continue through an archway and then turn left.
Cross the internal driveway and go through the gates.
Proceed ahead towards the main courtyard, turn right and go through the open gates.
Continue ahead into the rear courtyard and turn right.
The main entrance is located to the right.
The route to the area is step-free level and is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, gravel, paving stones and bonded gravel.
The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
To access the gift shop via the stepped entrance, turn right once in the main courtyard and the shop is located on the left.

The majority of aisle widths are over 150cm.
Some flooring in the shop is smooth and even.
Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to carpet.
There is step-free level access around the shop.
There is background noise here.
Lighting levels are moderate to good.
There is step-free level access to the counter.
The height of the counter is 97cm.
There is a low level counter at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
The counter has windows, TVs, glazed screens or mirrors which could adversely affect the ability of someone to lip read.

The hearing assistance system was tested and working at the time of the survey.
Services/facilities available in the shop include: a portable card machine for payment and a member of staff to provide assistance.
To exit through the accessible entrance there is a push pad at a height of 90cm.
