Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Route to (the Woodland)
- Woodland areas are located beyond the access points and around surrounding areas.
- The route to the area is step-free level and is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are compact earth and tarmac.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The access points to the area are located around the Hatfield Forest site.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is self-closing.
- The width of the gap is 170cm.
- Most gates around the site are self-closing.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: woodland and open countryside.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, gravel, bonded gravel, compact earth and loose stones.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There are slight slopes located throughout.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- Access to some public pathways are rotated throughout the year to protect the environment.
