Equipment and Resources to Borrow

Route to (the Donkey Stables)

  • From visitor reception, follow the path ahead to the house.
    Pass the front of the house, then turn left.
    The stables are ahead on the right.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
  • Path surfaces along the route are bonded gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is a shuttle which can take visitors to this area, but wheelchair users will need to transfer into it.

Outdoor Spaces

  • This information is for the access point located past the house, to the left.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: a playground with play equipment.
  • The outdoor facilities also include: a picnic area, and donkey enclosure.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark.
  • Footpaths are not available in all of the outdoor space.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no step-free level access around the area.
  • There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
  • The whole area slopes away from the access path.
  • There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.

    • The play equipment is in easy reach for seated and standing users, and users of different heights.

Picnic Area (Donkey Stables)

  • The following information describes the picnic area located in front of the donkey enclosure.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • There are picnic tables.
  • No chairs have armrests on both sides.
  • Adapted picnic tables are available.
  • The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 72cm.
  • The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.
  • There is no step-free level access around the area.
  • The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
  • Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to bark chippings.
