Route to (Cherry Garden)

  • From the rear of the Visitor Reception, continue straight until you reach the wall and then turn right.
    Continue along the path of trees and the entrance into the Cherry Garden is located along the path to the left.
    There is an identical entrance on the opposite side of the garden.
  • The route to the area is step-free level.
  • Path surfaces along the route are gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
  • View information about Ham House - The South Terrace and The Plats (opens in new tab).
  • This is the most accessible route to the Cherry Garden.
    Visitors can also access the Cherry Garden from the South Terrace, but this route has stepped access.

Outdoor Spaces (Cherry Garden)

  • This information is for the access point located to the left as you face Ham House, along the tree path and to the left.
  • There is step-free level access into the area.
  • The access points to the area are located on the opposite side of the Cherry Garden.
  • There is open access at the surveyed access point.
  • The following outdoor facilities are available: formal gardens.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and gravel.
  • Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
  • The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access around the area.
  • There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
