Route to (Mariamne's Garden)

  • Leave the estate office car park, turn left then turn left again.
    After approximately 500 metres take the steep trail to the left.
    Bear left and continue uphill.
    At the monument take a sharp right and ascend the steps to the garden.
  • The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope and includes more than 3 steps without a handrail.
  • Path surfaces along the route are compact earth, cobbles, paving stones and bonded gravel.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.

Outdoor Spaces (Mariamne's Garden)

  • This information is for the access point located above Bedford Monument.
  • Access into the area is via steps.
  • There are 10+ steps, which are unmarked, with a handrail that switch sides.
  • There is an easy open gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
  • The gate is not self-closing.
  • The gate has a latch lock.
  • The width of the gap is 86cm.
  • The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, gravel, compact earth and loose stones.
  • Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor space.
  • The majority of the paths are not wide enough for wheelchair users.
  • There is step-free level access around some of the area.
