Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, magnifying glass, torch and accessible maps.
- You can borrow these from visitor reception. View more information about booking and collection of equipment.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
Route to (the Play Area)
- Proceed past visitor reception along the main pathway, the play area will be on the left.
- The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are loose wood chippings and tarmac.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located off the main pathway from visitor reception.
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is a gate at the surveyed access point which opens away from you (push).
- The gate is not self-closing.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: wood bark.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There are more than 3 steps with handrails and steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas .
- There are steep slopes throughout the play area.
