Summary

View information about opening hours.
The most accessible entrance has a slight ramp/slope and an open entrance with no doors.
This entrance is at the front of the walled garden, through either of the archways.
There is not a member of staff available for help and assistance.
Staff/volunteers can describe the layout and access around the site.
The following are also available: seating.
This site is not part of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.

You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs and running buggies. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
A visitor shuttle is available to take people from the car park to the visitor reception.

Exit the visitor reception through the archway into the cobbled courtyard.
Continue past the toilets and shops, then turn left up a slope.
Follow this path and go right through the first or second archway to the garden.
The route to the area is step-free via a steep ramp/slope.
Path surfaces along the route are tarmac and cobbles.
The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
There is no accessible shuttle to this area.

This information is for the access point located at the front of the garden.
Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
There is open access at the surveyed access point.
The width of the gap is 99cm.
The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass and gravel.
Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.

No chairs have armrests on both sides.
Adapted picnic tables are not available.
The standard height for the underside of picnic tables is 68cm.
The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.
There is step-free level access around some of the area.
The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to grass.
