Parking (Car Park 1)

- This is an open air car park with a block paved surface.
- Parking is free for National Trust members, but charges apply for all other visitors.
- Maps and information boards are not available.
- There are more than 10 Blue Badge parking bays.
- The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 240cm x 470cm.
- There is a hatched zone on both sides and to the rear.
- The nearest Blue Badge bay is 15m from the visitor centre entrance.
- Obstacles from the car park include: dropped kerbs, slopes/ramps, a road crossing and bollards with low colour contrast and no visual identification band.

Parking (Car Park 2 - Visitor Experience)

Parking (Causeway Coast Way Car Park)
- This site has a car park.
- This is an open air car park with a tarmac surface.
- Parking is free for National Trust members, but charges apply for all other visitors.
- There are clearly presented payment signs.

- There are 4 Blue Badge parking bays.
- The dimensions of the designated Blue Badge parking bay(s) surveyed are 236cm x 470cm.

Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs and mountain trikes. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys and soft toy.

- You can borrow or hire the following mobility vehicles: mobility scooters. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.

- All items are available to loan for Visitor Experience ticket holders at no additional charge and are available on a first come, first served basis from the Visitor Welcome desk within the Visitor Centre.
Route to (the Green Trail)
- From the Blue Badge bays, head to the rear of car park 1.
The access point to follow the trail is located at the start of the coach parking area. - The route to the area is step-free via a slight ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are paving stones.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- This information is for the access point located at the rear of car park 1, by the coach parking area.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: open countryside.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: concrete or tarmac and grass.
- Footpaths are available in all of the outdoor space.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails and steep ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- The slight slopes are located throughout and the steep slopes are at the picnic area onto the second viewpoint.
- There are bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
- The paths have gates which may create obstacles for some users.
Hikes and Trails (Green Trail)
- The trail is approximately 2 miles long.
- Start from the access point at the rear of car park 1, behind the coach parking area.
Follow the marked path down to the picnic area and first viewpoint.
Leave the picnic area by a gate, and continue along the clifftop path to the second viewpoint at the peak of the cliff.
Return by the same route. - The hike is open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: tarmac, loose chippings and grass.
- The route is clearly signposted.
- The route has information boards with large maps.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
Picnic Area
- The following information describes the picnic area located along the trail.
- Access into the area is via a slight ramp/slope.
- The slope is between 75cm and 150cm wide.
- There are picnic tables.
- No chairs have armrests on both sides.
- Adapted picnic tables are available.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the lowest picnic table is 65cm.
- The distance between the floor and the underside of the highest picnic table is 75cm.
- The following furniture is permanently fixed: all of the chairs and all of the tables.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- The surface in the picnic area is not smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to loose chippings.
