- This is an open air car park with a tarmac, loose chippings, compacted gravel and compacted earth surface.
- Parking is free for all users.
- Maps and information boards are not available.
- There are 5 Blue Badge parking bays.
- There is no hatched zone.
- The nearest Blue Badge bay is 5m from the visitor reception entrance.
- Obstacles from the car park include: uneven surfaces, loose chippings and a lack of pedestrian walkways to cross the car park.
- There are not parent and child parking bays available.
- There is not a designated drop-off point.
Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: manual wheelchairs. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, accessible maps and sensory maps.

Visitor Reception
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The door is push pad activated, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the door opening is 102cm.
- Internally the door has a low colour contrast.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of more than 1.5cm.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The majority of aisle widths are over 150cm.
- There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) throughout the area.
- Some of the flooring is smooth and even.
- Where the flooring is not smooth or even, this is due to carpet.

Toilet with Adaptations (Visitor Reception - Accessible - Right Hand Transfer)
- This toilet is located on the right side of the building.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- This toilet is approximately 5m from the visitor reception entrance.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the door.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 93cm.
- The door has a twist lock.
- There is a small lip on the threshold of the doorway with a height of more than 1.5cm.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 150cm x 267cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the seat but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 82cm from the side of the toilet pan to the wall.
- There is a spatula flush on the transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the door, a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and vertical grab rails on both sides of the wash basin.
