Equipment and Resources to Borrow
- You can borrow or hire the following equipment: a manual wheelchair. It is highly recommended that these are booked in advance, where this is possible. Please check the National Trust website for details.
- Sensory packs can be borrowed which include: ear defenders, fidget toys, sunglasses, activity sheets, soft toy and communication cards.
- Powered mobility vehicles cannot be borrowed or hired.
- Adult and child sensory packs are available.
Route to (Meadow Walk)
- Exit the car park at the front.
Take the path immediately on the left.
Continue down the steep slope and access to the meadow walk is on the right. - The route to the area is step-free via a very steep ramp/slope.
- Path surfaces along the route are tarmac, muddy and grass.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is no accessible shuttle to this area.
Outdoor Spaces
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The access points to the area are located on the left and at the rear of the hall.
- There is open access at the surveyed access point.
- The following outdoor facilities are available: parkland and woodland.
- The outdoor spaces include the following surfaces: grass, compact earth and uncompacted earth.
- Footpaths are available in some of the outdoor spaces.
- The majority of the paths are wide enough for wheelchair users.
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- There are slight ramps/slopes without handrails in the main areas.
- There are slopes leading to the meadow walk.
- There are some bench seats situated along the paths for people to rest.
Hikes and Trails (Meadow Walk)
- The walk is approximately half a mile.
- The route goes around the meadow and picnic area.
- The hike is not open 24 hours.
- None of the paths are lit at night.
- The route includes the following surfaces: grass and mud.
- Some of the route contains very uneven surfaces.
- These are found in the following areas: the paths on the walk are grassy and uneven in places.
- There are no alternative routes to avoid these areas.
- The route is not clearly signposted.
- Seating is available on the route.
- There are no toilet facilities along the route.
